I mostly focus on novels surrounding veterans, spooks and war, fly fishing and wilderness, in the genre of thrillers and techno-thriller. Other projects include short stories in the same genre, detective, and literary. I dabble in poetry.
I grew up in Colorado, graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1976, Creighton Medical School in 2000, Charleston Naval Hospital for Family Practice Residency, then to Pensacola Naval Hospital, Scotland, and back. Survived Hurricane Ivan to begin a new life as writer, fly fishing guide, and more medicine. Some of my favorite authors include just about everything by James Lee Burke, Randy Wayne White, John Hart, Poe, Hemingway and many others. I enjoy fly fishing, road bicycling, and hiking, when not enjoying my lovely wife, wonderful children, and a certain grandson with wide blue eyes and a devilish grin.
