Some worry that Dan’s War is the only novel up my sleeve. Not a chance.
Yes, there is a sequel to Dan’s War, but I hope to get all of the below out first. The sequel combines characters in Dan’s War with the first book I plan to publish soon, The Next Day (see below).
The next book, The Guide, won first place at Pikes Peak Writers Contest(Paul Gillette award) in 2011. It will be coming out soon.

What’s it about? I focus on social issues in my books, while giving you the ride of your life. Dan’s War grabs onto Big Oil and Global Warming. The Guide–Medicine and Fly Fishing. Both of them tangle with the necessary evils associated with WAR.
Another novel coming soon, The Next Day, revolves around our post 9-11 craziness, along with some great bioterrorism. Oh, and shape shifters that are way beyond anything in True Blood.
So don’t think Dan’s War is the only toy in this Crackerjack box. You’re gonna have so much fun!

Hi Milt,
I like your site, you have some interesting posts. My site http://www.myperfectpitch.com compliments yours, consisting of interesting articles from a published author, and a free writers yearbook with over 1000 book publishers currently accepting submissions. Keep up the good work.
Regards, Brian
Brian, Thanks for visiting and your comments. I have in two minutes developed a real taste for your site, and will going back for more. The cake is very good. Can’t wait for the frosting. I’ve learned a lot about the self-publishing venue, and agree with many of your comments. It was a bit pricey, though I believe the product, Dan’s War, is excellent. Got a good editor, and the publisher, Telemachus Press, did a great job, both ebook and paperback. Since the paperback is POD, I don’t have to make “printing runs,” which is ideal–don’t pay anything for it.
I have not made a run at many publishers, more the agent game, and find your comments excellent. Will go for it–I hope the frosting.
Thanks again.
Milt
Just poking around your site here and like what I see. It’s well laid out. I’ve recently downloaded Dan’s War and am just beginning to read it. So far, I’m enjoying it quite a bit. It’s just a matter of taking some free time to read, rather than write. I know I have to find a way to balance all that, along with work and family, too. Unfortunately, there always seems to be a surplus of hours in the “need” pile, and a deficit in the “have”.
Let me know if you want to talk more on audio (“podio-”) books. When you’re ready, I’ll be happy to share what I’m doing, and how I’m doing it.
Take care,
Jeff Brackett
Hey, Jeff, thanks for stopping. Hope you like Dan’s War. I know what you mean about time. My day job is getting in the way this week. Have a great one!
